Until now there have been only two ways to get leather: take it from animals, or imitate it with plastic.

One hide takes three years of raising a cow. Tanning uses chemicals such as chromium and a lot of water.

It is called leather, but it is mostly plastic such as polyurethane. It cracks within a few years and does not biodegrade.
Leather is collagen tissue made by skin cells. SeaWith grows those cells directly, on the same platform we use to make meat.

We isolate skin cells from the same Hanwoo tissue we use to make meat.

In the same culture medium and the same bioreactor, the cells produce collagen and grow into tissue.

The grown tissue is finished into a leather material. Like animal leather, it is made of collagen.

Research and prototype production are complete, and we have started selling the material. We welcome inquiries from brands and manufacturers on material supply and joint development.
